How to turn off the Opera system tray icon in KDE

After installing Opera version 9, I noticed an icon in the system tray of Kubuntu 6.10 (KDE desktop). I did not like it.

So I searched high and low, and found the instructions in Removing the kicker(taskbar) opera icon in opera 9 beta - Opera for UNIX - Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD - Opera Community:

opera -notrayicon

That simple. Why is this not in the Opera help file?
